About Us
We're a non-partisan grassroots group of individuals who are keen on bringing a BC-style carbon tax to Washington State. Below are brief bios on some of our members; to join our effort, email info@carbonwa.org.
- Yoram Bauman is a PhD environmental economist who teaches at the University of Washington. He co-authored (with Sightline's Alan Durning) the book Tax Shift and talks about climate change while performing as a "stand-up economist".
- Phil Mitchell is a software developer and sustainability activist. He led the Greater Seattle Climate Dialogues for three years, founded the 2People.org climate action network and co-founded Bikewise.org.
